Miho Kondo
Recently I have registered Japanese cooking lessons on the site since I came back home from Switzerland in 2023.
I have been a cooking teacher at a cultural center in the German part of Switzerland for 10 years besides my another job, where I lived in Switzerland for many years.
Since graduating from a Sushi school, Tokyo in 2013, I gave Japanese cooking lessons to more than 1000 people at a cultural center in Switzerland.
Since Japanese food ingredients are not readily available overseas, I had to be creative enough in many ways to make them. So, I was so happy that the participants were pleased to make Sushi and Japanese Bento box dishes in Switzerland.
Naturally, it is easy to make Japanese food in Japan because of the availability of fresh fish, various tofu and other Japanese ingredients. But, at the same time Japanese cuisine is profound, and I want to convey that to foreigners who come to Japan.
In 2023 I have also attended some Thai cooking classes in Bangkok, and I enjoyed different ingredients and cooking methods. Like the participants of the cooking classes in Japan, I sometimes enjoy attending cooking classes and asking the chefs how to cook when I visit foreign countries.
My hobbies are Tai-chi, swimming, trekking, and visiting shrines & temples.
